Joe Lucia - radiator part # please

I have a radiator tag that reads:
    MA3
    3030132

    Is this for a '73 LS4 Auto w/AC?

I can only find 3028081 in AIM

    Thanks

GM #3030132 was a SERVICE radiator applicable to 1974 Corvettes without C-60. I have no information that it was used for or is applicable to 1973 models. I also have no information that it was used in PRODUCTION. However, I would not be surprised if it was used in PRODUCTION and I would not be surprised if it might have been used for later 1973 models. I certainly don't KNOW any of this, but I would not be surprised.

Thanks for looking it up, Joe.
My car was built in April 1973. The original owner said he never replaced the radiator. By the time I got the car, it sure looked like a 37 year old radiator (it has since been restored).

Well, I'd say it sounds like it's very likely the original radiator. As I mentioned, it would not surprise me if it was used in PRODUCTION for later 1973's and I'd call your April, 1973 a comparatively late build.

So what's the "MA" broadcast code?
          JG only mentions "MC".

The "MC" is the broadcast code for the 3030199 radiator which was used on most 1973 applications. "MA" is the broadcast code for the 3030132 radiator you have.

For the record I am doing a little research on these M codes. My 73 L82 auto W/air has a code of MF I have a 74 BB auto 4 speed W/Air that has it's original radiator with code MD. WM. Merhrkens 73 BB w/air as stated above has MA Would others chime in with their codes please.

Russ, I have a '74 Orange L-48 automatic coupe, no A/C with an MA code radiator. Didn't have to go into the garage either, just checked my broadcast sheet. Surprised you don't remember as you judged the engine compartment in 2000 at the convention at the museum that year(LOL).

Thanks Paul. My 73 build sheet has the radiator box blank. Guess my memory must be getting bad! I should have remembered that.
