    engine pad on 57

does the engine pad for judging does the paint have to be fully removed to read stamp all of the pad or just enough to read numbers and marks? Example half clean and half painted?

    Thanks

    Hi Chris
I believe all the JG's have the same or simliar terminology.
From the '66: "The pad is not painted and should be free of excessive rust. It is the owner's responsibility to remove all paint, rust, etc., for judging".

And Chris, use 'paint remover', do not sand it off. They like to see the original raw metal, or 'broach marks' if you will.
