I got the new 66 judging guide, is the picture on page 117 of the lower "V" shields the correct style or the incorrect style for a 66 small block? Thanks sincerely Brian

AFAIK, those are correct for '66 small block with the pre-safety motor mounts. (at least they would be for '65, and probably same for '66 and '67).

Found a pic. You might also find the letters "AS" stamped on the long bracket with the slot end. The drivers' side shield has "B" stamped on the short bracket that goes to the motor mount.

Sorry, I can't say I've ever seen the repops. I would be careful in rechroming, as the originals are a "semi-flat" chrome, and there's always the danger that they'll come out too shiny. Also, you have the problem of R&R'ing the brackets and finding correct rivets. So unless the yours have major rust, I'd take the points hit for now, and keep looking for nicer originals.
