JM shows 1/8 but that looks way to big.

      Keith,

If you're referring to the 4 alphanumeric code stamping the numbers/letter are on the order of 0.094 +/- 0.001.

Or are you referring to the A and B on the shank of the key?

I have purchased a few sets of cheap number and letter punches and have learned that the letter height is not the same as the nominal size.

Keith, See Peter Lindahl aka "The key guy" for a correct key that has the proper size numbers and font.
I had keys made for my 63 three times. All the keys worked but only one set was correct and that was Peters. JD

            Keith:
I have found that the actual stamping size of a 1/16" number/letter is the size of the original. When stamped, the figure is slightly larger than the 1/16" specified on the stamp set. This is not only for the cheap sets but for good quality sets. There is a lot of variation on the stamped size and horizontal location on cheap sets (as was on many keys from Briggs & Stratton as well as variation of fonts not only on different keys but on the same key).
