    Z06 pcv, circular tag ??

I have remnants of a circular label that was on the pvc valve. It is black, with white lettering. I can easily see the AC but the numbers 500,509,590 ( not sure which) are not very legible? Does anyone have any idea whtat this is. There's no mention of this in the JM.
    Thanks, John

John, I believe all 63 Corvettes used CV590 - is it stamped into the valve itself? If not, your black tag may indicate that it's a service piece and the label was calling out all the PCVs that it could properly replace.

Check to see if the Delco #CV-590 is stamped into the valve. Usually, on these early valves there will be a GM part number but no Delco part number actually stamped on the valve. If there is no Delco part number stamped on the valve, I'm not so sure that these black, "ring" tags were not supplied with the PRODUCTION valves. They were definite supplied with the early SERVICE valves, though.

Is the valve black oxide finished or zinc plated?

If there is a GM part number (6 or 7 digit) on the valve, what is it?
