    C2 Radio Speaker

Just purchased a new radio speaker from Electro-Tech, Inc. (877-780-2861) for my 65 Factory A/C coupe. Speaker came with correct load coil and had no clearance issues installing the speaker over the A/C duct work. Great phone service and fast shipping........Speaker sounds great!

      Fred,

Go to www.turnswitch.com then click on products and scroll down to see photo of Corvette speakers. They may be a little more expensive then some I have seen advertised, but these guys know electronics and it has a five year warranty. That's the good news, the bad news is what you will have to go through to replace your speaker in an A/C car! Fortunately someone had left off the left front mounting nut so I was able to get mine in and out without too much grief. I understand the insturment cluster needs to come loose to get at the left front nut if its still there. Perhaps someone else will add words of wisdom and knowledge on getting to that speaker nut.

      Good Luck,
      Bill

            Re: C2 Radio Speaker

Sorry guys, the speaker was $59.95. A little more then other places, but I was told there are less expensive speakers, but they may have the wrong load coil which will eventually cause radio damage. My biggest concern was it fitting a factory A/C car which it did nicely. The incorrect speaker that was in the car when I bought it caused the radio problems I had to repair as well. Does it ever end...............
