Holley 2818 or 2818-1?

I'm changing the incorrect carb in my 1965 327/365 which has an early March '65 build date. I'm currently looking at a Holley 2818-1 with a date code of 521. It does have the correct metering blocks.
I'm curious whether the 2818-1 is correct? I had heard that 2818's were correct and that 2818-1's were later replacements. Anyone have any thoughts on this one?

Steve -- your March '65 car should definitely have a 2818-1. Without the dash-1 was on early cars only. The '65 TIM&JG says the "-1" occured somewhere between code 462 and 492 (ie. 2nd week of June and 2nd week of Sept, 1964). Here's a pic of a 2818-1 with a 482 date, so the change was already made as of mid-Aug '64.

So your 521 looks good to go (hope it has the 4094 / 4099 meter blocks).
