Help with radiator/overflow tank hose tie-straps

Looking for help to place these on the car and how they should attach to the hose(s) and car. Not sure if I need both or not. Ordered from Doc R. On the left is his part# 2259204/radiator overflow tie strap, the right is 2259203/x-tank hose. 1969 L-71. Thanks!

      Jack-
Do you think there might be a difference with the Harrison surge tank?

I believe so. I hope someone else chimes in.

The small strap is for a non pressurized overflow hose and they attach the thin wall hose to the fiberglass fan shroud (66-68 427). YOU DON'T NEED THIS FOR YOUR 69 435. The over flow hose tucks in behind the heater hoses as it goes down the fender skirt.

The larger strap is for wireing harnesses and radiator to expansion tank hoses. They go into the fenderskirts. This is what you want for your 69 L-71.

              Rich-
Thanks! Does the nipple go through the inner or outer hole in the strap? After the nipple goes through one of these holes forming a loop around the hose, I guess it then pushes through into the fender skirt?

If I remember correctly the over flow hose is to fat for the strap to be used on the first hole.
What I do is use a deep 1/4" drive socket that will slide over the push tab but seats on the raised circle to push the strap into the skirt then the strap onto it's self.

OK. Makes sense, thanks again Rich.
