    Intersting history on the '65.
The owner said he is going to write an article for the restorer.
It may be worth waiting for.

Mike, I remember seeing a black/blue 65 fuel convertible at Bloomington Gold in 03. I wonder if it's the same car? At that time it had a blue soft top and side exhaust.

Alan...DING DING DING we have a winner.

Thats her first picture front right row. I finished that car back in 06-07. 15 plus documented options. Canadian car with paperwork. it took alot of work to bring her back to life but she came out sweet.

            Thanks loads, Rich

Rich, did the late Don Soranno own the white/red 435 convertible you are referring to. I remember him telling about a car just like it that he owned.

                Steve,

yes Don was a very good friend and customer of mine and I finished that car for him a year before his untimley passing. I had 2 others of his car in the shop also Chip Millers old Black Black 435 67 coupe and a 67 marina blue/white 435 roadster.

Still miss him he would call and BS vettes 4-5 times a week.

Were the wheels painted black between the fins? I does'nt look like it in the picture (maybe its the angle). I thought that 65-66 knock-offs were black between the fins.

                    Hi Steve
He may have said the car had sidepipes at one time, nothing about the top.
I thought he said he has had the car for many years and just recently finished it. Don't believe it would have been available for the 2003 campaign.

                        Thanks Alan!!

I lost all my restoration pictures of this car last year when one of my computers crashed. I spoke to the new owner on the phone a few times (Seems like a real nice guy who loves the car).

                            Hey Don,

your right your car has sidepipes The one I did had N-11. The new owners name is also Don, Don Nowlan (not sure of the spelling). Nice looking car. The car I did had A-31, N-40, J-50, leather, headrests, speed warning, N-11, bolt ons, redlines, tinted windows, 435, K-66 M-21 3;70 posi and I think it had Tel. All factory options as per original tank sticker and GM of Canida docs.

Now that the pictures are posted here is the car I did several years ago. The gentelman in the picture must be the new owner. I have talked to him several times but never met. Real nice guy and the car still looks not too bad.
