    Michael,

I have quite a collection of originals here, now , but, I don't know for sure that tall one came on the car new. Also, the JG doesn't say anything about the 61-62 fitting being OK for early 63.

I think you've got an untouched, early 63, what do you have?

    Thanks,
    Mike

If mine, I'd use the one with the "P" installed on the motor.
I would look for a pair of original by-pass hose clamps or at the very least change the screws to the correct style. Bob

        Michael,

I would think that the tall fitting could be original only on very early 63's, possibly the first week or two of production. I don't remember how early your car is.

Yes, I think the 63-64 JG only mentions the typical 63 and later style fitting.

My cars are much later and have the typical short fitting.

          Michael,

My car is a late November build, not early enough for the long fitting, so that settles that.

Can you tell me which logo you have, and which hex facet its on?

          Thanks,
          Mike

            Michael,

My 63's are in Illinois so I can't look at the fittings and I don't remember what the stamp/logo is.
I agree with Jorjorian on the "P". I think that's most common for 63.

              Bob,

Didn't win the judging "discussion" on using the 'P' logo on that one, so that's why I'm trying to find out what to put there. I think there were at least three logos, because i've seen old parts of all three types. Since the one I have on the car is just a copy, it's not a big deal to replace it with a real one that I'm sure is gonna pass...

Yeah, correct clamps are on my list of things to find...

              Thanks,
              Mike
