Did a search on this topic and found some interesting thoughts, my car after more than 5000 miles on new clutch just started making a little squealing noise when you have the car in gear and just start to release the pedal from the floor and it only does this once in a while ,mostly when cold, but also once in a while when warm. any thoughts. also when in nuetral there is no noise when pushing the pedal to the floor or releasing it. the noise is always when you first start to let the pedal up from the floor when in gear, and why just once in a while?

Re: clutch squeal 65 327
Jim. sounds like the pilot bearing may be alittle dry.once in gear and you start the release of the clutch pedal the input shaft starts its rotation.
Theres no logic on why its there cold or hot may just be tempermental.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Jim, I don't know of any short cuts. since the bushing is on the end of crankshaft. removing shifter asnd driveshaft and silding the trans back.
If the bushing was replaced during he clutch replacement, you could lube up the shaft when you back the trans out.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
