Looks to me like they should call it Inferno Red, I would assume it looks differant in person. Sort of looks like the old Riverside Red - which under lighting had a real orange tinge to it.

It does take seeing it in person. There is no red to it. It is another orange.
I think the modern paints with tinted clear coat are next to impossible to photograph accurately.

I agree, a friend has a Atomic Orange, it has a bit of a copper tinge in certain light. Beautiful. Bill.

When I first saw it I thought of "Venetian Red" from 1956-1957".

I have another question on the same subject. Any difference between Atomic Orange and Daytona Sunset Orange? I have an 09 Atomic Orange and love the color. I think Ed likes his too!

Yes there is a difference between AO and DSO. Back when AO replaced DSO there were a lot of pictures like the one Gary Bishop posted showing the difference. Most of those were on other forums.

I have been parked at some shows next to a Daytona Sunset, it is much darker then Atomic and seems to have no or very little metal in it. My Atomic in sunlight looks like the shoes in the Wizard of Oz, just hope I never need to match the paint.
