    C1 Radiator Support Seal Installation

    Need some help.. I am about to install a new DeWitt Aluminum rad and wanted to install he suppoert seals, but i can figure out where the lower radiator support seals are placed .. appreciate any pics or directions.

    Joe,

    The two short pieces are for the lower corners around the X bracing. The long piece is for the bottom. They seal the radiator frame to the body. I have some pictures but I am not home. If no one posts a picture and you still need a picture, let me know and I can post it tomorrow night.

      Joe,

            The AIM calls out for "cement". I would think most would use weatherstrip adhesive or maybe contact cement. If weatherstrip adhesive is applied according to the installation directions, it should be just fine.

            To properly use weatherstrip adhesive, both surfaces need to be cleaned with the proper solvent, the adhesive applied to both surfaces and allowed to tack over, and then additional weatherstrip adhesive is applied to one surface. The parts are then held together.

            This method produces a very strong bond.
