T10D-1 Transmission

My 1960 project car has an all aluminum transmission. It's still in the car, so I can't see all numbers, but it has T10D-1 casting on passenger side of transmission. Also on the passenger side, the tail housing has T10-7D and 3813490.

Is this an early '63 vette transmission or something else?

Donald,

The T10D-1 is a 1963 transmission case for passenger car and Corvette. What is the serial # stamped into the drivers side just behind the side cover?

The serial number is 3110290 and there is another number WB1331.

Donald,

The transmission is for 1963 Corvette serial # 10290 and the build date of the box is Febuary 13, 1963 first shift.

You may wany to try to unite the trans with it's car and make someone very happy.

I would love to be able to locate the original '63 for this transmission. I need to try and find an appropriate transmission for my 1960 restoration project.

I supposed running an add in Driveline is my best shot.

You could check the C2 registry at c2registry.org and see if that car is listed.
