Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a screw or bolt on the side, in the rear, of the steering column housing, opposite the blinker; to secure the housing? Hope I explained this correctly.

Re: 1964 Corvette steering column
Only on 63 columns, not 64, check the 64 AIM for details.

Re: 1964 Corvette steering column
The screw hole was for the "wedge", which was only used in 1963 to secure the bowl; the wedge was eliminated for 1964, but they didn't modify the mold for the bowl and left the screw hole in it. The hole is there, but it isn't used.- Top
