Re: C1 racing Corvette
There is more truth to that story than many people will ever know.
I KNOW!!!
I joined the US ARMY as a smart ass jerk (I still have some of those qualities), trained as a combat medic and specialized as a surgical tech. I came home after Nam as a much more matured and compassionate person after a 3yr enlistment (anyone who has experienced hi-speed projectiles in close proximity to their body will understand why I got out). I got out of the Army in the summer and my dad passed away that fall from cancer at age 45. Up until then, I didn't realize what I had. I'm 67 now, and as the years continue to roll by, it becomes more difficult every day to acknowledge that Daddy is gone. I'll never forget him, I'll never get over the loss.
Dads are special. How sad it is that so many don't figure it out until it is too late.
Sorry for the rambling.- Top
