    Convention "Newbee"!

Would like to attend my first NCRS convention. I do not plan on bringing a car, do I still need to register? Is it $125 to register? Do want to participate in tech seminars, I assume registration would be required for this, can anyone confirm? How does one register for these tech sessions and be assured of a spot? If I to want to get involved in judging at some point, is there any opportunity to "shadow" a judging team so I can learn? Did see the observer judge selection on the registration form, could this be what I am referring to? Thanks!

John, hope you can make it. Only registered NCRS members can attend any of the functions such as Technical and Judging seminars as well as be an Observer Judge. Would encourage you to register before the cut off date to avoid the late registration fees. You can download the registration form from the first thread at the top of the page by John Waggoner. This form is fillable and if you pay by credit card you could attach it to an e-mail and send it to info@ncrs.org or fax it. Also, would recommend contacting the Team Leader for the year Corvette you're interested in and request to be an Observer Judge (OJ) as well as attending the full day Judging Seminar session by Terry McManmon. Hope to see you there. Gary....

Sometimes a given meet activity (eg. Tech Session) has a 'head count' limit. In these cases, you'll typically find a sign-up sheet at the meet and it's usually a first come/first serve situation.

But, that's the exception rather than the rule. What's more typical is for a given session to be simply open to those who enter and take a seat with a sign-up sheet circulated during the presentation.

There is always a 'head count' limit for the Advanced Judging Seminars, so be sure to look for the 'sign-up sheet(s)' for them. Those sheets are usually at the 'Judging Registration' desk, but the local meet administrators put them out so I can not guarantee where they will be -- except they are always prominently displayed.
