That's a pretty weird description. No idea why Canada is mentioned. The correct shields are available from just about any of the usual vendors, why take a chance on eBay?

For some inexplicable reason, some of the spark plug heat shields used on 1977-79 Corvettes (and other GM cars during this period) for export to Canada were different, or at least were supposed to be different, than those built for the US.

The right side front shield was supposed to be GM #460723 and used only for Canadian applications. One of the left side shields was supposed to be GM #458628. I do not know which one but I expect it was the left rear.

Why these Canadian applications used different shields for two of the positions I have no idea. Were all Canadian-delivered 77-79 Corvettes actually equipped with these shields? I have no idea of that, either. I might add, though, that these modifications for Canadian delivered vehicles were supposed to be mandatory.

Curiosity has gotten the better of me. These are the only auctions I can find on eBay featuring this particular part number

Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for 76 77 78 79 80 81 camaro monte carlo ignition shielding at the best online prices at eBay! Free shipping for many products!

Looking at the photo in the second auction, this piece does not look similar to any shield I've seen for a Corvette. I'm stumped.

You're correct. The shields in these Ebay items, including the GM #458628, could not have been used on a Corvette since these shields are not designed to work with ram's horn type manifolds which all Corvettes, including 77-79, used. These shields are designed to work with the "log" type manifolds used on most non-Corvette small blocks for many years.

It must be a mistake that GM says that the the 458628 was used on Corvettes. As a matter of fact, this number does not appear in the 77-79 AIMs, but does appear in the 77+ P&A Catalogs. It's also shown in the P&A Catalogs for other Chevrolet applications that I know used the log type manifolds. So, there's no doubt it was never used on a Corvette.

However, that still leaves the GM #460723. That one is specified in both the 1977-79 AIM's as well as P&A Catalogs for Canadian-delivered Corvettes. Also, it is NOT specified for any non-Corvette application I can find. The 460723 was discontinued without supercession in May, 1984.
