How have others been able to remove the original bulb socket from the parking lamp bezel to allow installing the repair snap-in socket and harness? It looks like to me that with a dremmel I could remove the flange on the front of the bezel allowing the socket to be removed from the rear. Before I begin tearing things up, would like the experience of others. This must have been done many times but couldn't find anything in the archives.

Re: C-1 Park & Turn Signal Lamp & Wiring Socket
I just pried up the ring around the inside and wiggled it socket out the back side before re-chroming my lamps. Caution when installing the new snap in sockets, if you have them re-chromed, the socket will not stay in place. Some material will have to be removed in order for the socket to stay in place. I also added a bead of silicone around the back side of the socket to keep water out.- Top

Re: C-1 Park & Turn Signal Lamp & Wiring Socket
Thanks for the feed back Pat. I wasn't able to bend the flange on first try. I am now planning to leave old socket attached to bezel and just use new wiring, boot, and sheathing from purchased jumper. Do you think they could re-chrome bezel that way?- Top
