'57 Hood release cable

Can anyone help me with the following questions....?

1) What is the correct finish for the hood release cable that runs underneath the dash? Is is painted statin/semi-gloss black or is it left a natural, steel finish?
2) What is the finish of the two clutch screws that hold the hood release handle bracket to the underside of the dash....?
