Have a crack in my 69 washer motor cover. Purchased a replacement, but not sure how to disconnect the wires that run through the old one (and don't want to break anything else). Other than just breaking the old cover in half, how do I replace it? thanks

Re: 69 Washer motor cover
Richard:
If the washer pump and wiring are original, the 2 black wires that run under the angled hood are just barrel connectors that pull out to each side. Use a small needle nose pliers to pull them out.

Jeff, so it there an electrical terminal or connector under that cover that these these wires plug into? That would make sense...- Top

Re: 69 Washer motor cover
Richard:
There is a double round female connector into which both black wires/barrel connectors plug into, one from the driver's side and one from the passenger side. Again, this is on original or correct service replacement washer pumps. I believe that Corvette was the only application for this configuration because of the ignition shielding box which did not allow room for the common plug-in connector used on all other GM cars. Here is a picture of what's "under the hood". Hope this helps
