65 Front stabilizer bar ?

My 65 has a bend in the middle of the front stabilizer bar. It looks almost like it was supposed to be there? Is it supposed to be straight or have the bend in it? Thanks Tom

The bar is straight - no bends.

Thanks John I am going to try and straighten the one I have.It looks like the one on the car had a chain hooked around it at one time. Maybe to pull the car out of the sand? It is a Florida car and probably did some time on the beach.No rust to speak of though. If not I will buy a new one. Tom
