Correct Fan Blade for '66 A/C Coupe

Can anyone help me understand what the correct fan balde is for a 1966 with Air Conditioning. The previous JG (4th Edition) said "There are undocumented cases of 7 blade fans used in air-conditioned cars." However, the newly released 1966 JG does not contain that phrase.
As I recall, at the Nationals in St. Charles, MO in 2008, there was a Bow Tie judged 1966 Coupe with A/C and it had the 7 blade fan.
Obviously, the car cools much better with a 7 blade fan, but I would like to know what is deemed to be correct (or optional).

    Thanks for the help,

    Harry

      Tom,

Sorry, I left that detail out. Mine is a 327/300 HP.

Harry - You are correct on your observation on the 66 C60 Corvette at the Nationals in that the car had a 7 blade fan blade assembly. I've looked at a lot of C60 mid-years, and from the information presented and in my opinion, I have a number of reasons to believe the car as presented at the National Meet is as it came from the Factory. Having said that I can also say that the typical Factory production sb C60 Corvettes came with one of two 5 blade fan blade assemblies as noted in the 1966 Corvette AIM.

Unfortunately, when the 66 TIM&JG was under revision as far as I know there were no document cases so the statement in the previous Editions of the TIM&JG that in my opinion was so ambiguous, i.e. what does undocumented cases mean that it was pretty difficult to interpret from both a judging perspective and an owner's perspective.

My 2 cents. BTW, what is the VIN of the 66 w/ C60 that you are curious about.

          Pete

My 1966 327/300 C60 coupe, mid-December 65 build, also came with one of the 5 blade fan variations.
