Re: 1964 need original mandrel exhaust system
Added note to my post: If there are no original mandrel exhaust pipes and /or mufflers out there, Would there be any suggestions as to the best supplier of the closest reproduction exhaust system to NCRS 1964 judging criteria? Thnbaks, John Lyle 865-389-1837- Top

Paragon and Corvette Central both offer welded systems; others may as well. Original exhaust systems weren't mandrel-bent; they were made on the same kind of bending tooling you'll find in a muffler shop.- Top

Re: 1964 need original mandrel exhaust system
Thank you for the info, but the latest 1963-64 judging manual says " All 1963 and 1964 models use only under the car exhaust systems consisting of mandrel-bent mild steel tubing with no reduced section areas, ridges, or changes in pipe diameter" But I have had several NCRS members debate that. Still its what the judging manual says and my car will be judged to that standard. Any suggestions as to that? Thanks again for your reply!- Top

Re: 1964 need original mandrel exhaust system
I understand what they mean in terms of appearance of the pipes, but they were NOT mandrel-bent. I've seen Paragon's 2" system, and I think it meets the description.- Top
