71 Bridgehampton Blue

Does 1971 Bridgehampton Blue paint have metalic in it and if so was the flake small, medium or large? How does PPG paint match up for a metalic flake size for this year?

Yes, Bridgehampton Blue was a metallic color. I would call the metallic particles in this color to be VERY small.

I have no idea how the current PPG product compares to the original.

PPG 2199, Bridgehampton Blue, used a 340 Poly (metallic). That has been discontinued for several years. It is a very fine metallic. The current offset uses the 349 metallic, which is coarse metallic, which will change the shade and color. The current offset formula from PPG is still blue, but not a good, or even close match to the original color.
Sikkens color map position 339F5 is a very close match. But it's not lacquer.
