    Rally Wheel Trim Rings

I need to get my 67 trim rings restored. Does anyone have a good referral?

    Thanks,

      Hi Lawrence,
At Carlise last summer I talked to Dave Marmet for a while and his work looked very nice. He seemed very interested in what he was doing and took the time to explain his process to me and describe how he made a wooden 'buck' to use in working on the rings. I think he's worth a call to check out.

Agree with Shooter. Rick is an excellent choice....although he is not inexpensive ($$$).

He also sells on E-bay Stores under "georickparts".

I sent Rick 26 1967 trim rings to restore. Most were not very pretty....curbed, dinged, dented, burned in a fire, etc. I have gotten 16 back so far and they are awesome. He can change the ring with clips if you have broken clips or rusty clip retainers.

Thank you for that tip, Alan.

I've done business with Rick Miller. His finished trim wheel is excellent, but Rick is only the middle-man. Rick sends the trim rings to another vendor to perform the work.

I spoke to Dave last night. Really nice guy. Dave told me that he is not going to restore any more trim rings. He said it is too time consuming. He told me that he would keep his stainless steel shop open for two more years then close it down for retirement.
Dave told me that Rick Miller's work is good and recommended him.

                    Hi Lawrence,
                    Thanks for the update.
It certainly seems like the word retirement is becoming more prevalent in people's conversations.
