60 speedo face restoration

I was wondering if anyone has a source or method to reface this portion of the speedometer? Redoing the black is obviously no problem but what would be a good way to redo the markings? It would be easy if they were embosed but they are not...just silk screened. My first thought was to mask them off. My other thought was to make a template of them with masking tape and then mask off the newly painted black face. I guess either would work but I'm wondering if there is a better way so any ideas are welcome. For what it's worth the car is just a driver. I wouldn't have bothered with it but since I have the speedo apart to repair the odometer I figured now would be a good time to freshen up the face.

Spring came early this year up here so now I'm a little behind the ole 8 ball at getting my speedo back together.

Depending on how bad the face is, try Rogers Clocks and Gauges. I sent mine and they indicated to fix the small imperefection was not worth the $ spent. I now live with it. You can't reproduce the pitina and the fading of 50 + years.

Corvette Specialties of Maryland does good work on speedos. Did my '60

53-57 repro. speed face gloo in the dark , original dont It's the paint they use!
