Anyone with an original C2 never used spare tire w/ weights?

Small font with batch code being the oldest sounds opposite of what John D. and Mike M. stated. Is there no one out there with an original 63-67 never used spare with Dill caps to help resolve this difference of opinion?

That is the part i am really positive about.
I had a full bag of caps years ago - i got them from a guy who left the
      plant in 1988.
They were all large fonts with a batch code.
That code is not a date - the bag was full of many different codes.
It was likely the machine ID or something else for quality control?
The smaller font is the older.

The standard wheel spare on my May 67 built car has the Schrader valve cap.

There appears to be another variation of the Dill 627 black plastic valve stem cap. Those in the pictures shown have a volcano inward facing area around the center. The type that I am seeking has the entire center rounded and pointing upward, almost like a Tee Pee or upside down cone (or Top). Does anyone know where I can obtain such, as ebay and Corvette Central do not have these advertised? Thank you, Marlo M. Member 26309Dill 627 Valve Stem.jpg

Hi Marlo, Welcome to the TDB. I'm glad you registered.

I got your email with the pictures and of that type. I've never seen that variation. Hopefully someone else here has and may help you find some.

              Peter:

The valve cap on my 66's virgin spare wheel and tire is Schrader, just like yours.
