Finish for strut rod cam spacer?

This is the spacer that fits inside the strut rod bushing to keep the strut rod from rattling on the cam bolt. There are 4 of these per car. This is for a 73

If you're talking about the CAP used on each side of the strut rod bushing at the center bracket end, I believe they were a phosphate-like finish. I'm not sure it actually was phosphate, per se, but it had that appearance.

By the way, there were 2 different caps used over the 63-82 period. One was used for 63-74 and one with a slightly larger OD was used for 75-82. The latter also became SERVICE for 63-74 more than 25 years ago.

Yes it's those caps. I would have guessed zinc plated since mine have only surface rust and seemed to survive.

Phosphate it is. You can barely see them anyways.
