Glove Box Liner 78-82
I have a 1980 and looking to replace my glove box liner with one that has the cassette tape rack. The origional radio was replaced with an OEM GM AM/FM cassette player, and the only ones I can find on line state they hold 8 track tapes. Does anyone know if the liner with the tape rack is universal for both 8 track and cassette, or are they specific to the type of tape player?

The tape racks are removable inserts, and not the complete liner. I have an 80 I recently pulled the tank tag out of (radio was missing when I got the car), and it shows the car as coming with the stereo radio (U58). It has the racks for the 8 tracks, that is four separate pieces, even though I do not believe the car to have come with an 8 track player. I have another liner with the racks removed on the shelf at home, I can take photos of these later today if your interested. Not sure if there was a different rack for the cassettes, maybe someone else will know.

Just checked the TIM&JG for 78-82, and it states that the same rack was used for both 8 track and cassette applications.

Thanks for the feedback Lynn. I would be interested in the rack if you can tell me what it's condition is, attach a photo, and let me know what you want for it.
