    73 Fuel pump mounting block

    On a 73 L 82 should the fuel pump mounting block be orange or black?

      Hi Glenn,
      I believe that since the plate was installed along with the pump at St. Louis it wouldn't be orange.
      Based on what I observed on my 71, I think it may have been plated or even natural.
      Hope this info helps with your 73!

          The plate was natural, unpainted steel, not only for 1973 Corvettes but for virtually every other small block Chevrolet manufactured with a mechanical fuel pump.
