Gentlemen: I posted a question yesterday about the convertible deck lid bumpers but I think I posted it too late to get very many responses. I would like to hear from a member with an original 68 CV with a build date and vin close to mine. My build is F15 and my VIN is 409107. Another member posted yesterday with a Dec 67 car without the bumpers. That member also commented saying that he thought the bumpers didn't show up until March. I guess if I could find a member with a car shortly after mine without the bumpers I would have my answer. Thanks again for all the help. Don.

Donald,
I don't have a response to your post, but am curious if your decklid has provisions (threaded holes) for the bumpers. If so, I wonder why. I learned from a previous post that 2 were used for a short time but was reduced to 1. All decklids on the later cars still had provisions for 2. Chip.- Top

yes, the deck lid on my car has provisions for the two bumpers. my deck lid, however, is not original to the car. that's why i'm hoping someone with a build date around my car will offer their observations.- Top

I have some pictures of the underside of my Nov 67 build '68 decklid before I had the car "redone".
I think it should be in it's original config. in these pics, but am not entirely sure as I would not really know what that was.
Anyway, it you think these would be useful to you, email me at rwmnc@optonline.net and I would be glad to send them to you.

I am an original owner of a 68 convertible but a late car. I guess I don't know what you are referring to as "deck Lid Bumpers"?? Could you describe what they are and where they are? My car does not have anything that I would describe using your words. ThanksJim Boudreaux
