57 interior door lock

What is the correct postion of interior door lock? Is the knub in the 9 oclock position or other, i remember something about the position at chapter meet.

lock knobs point to rear in unlocked position(drivers side points to 9 oclock when viewed from pass side, pass side knob points to 3 oclock when viewed from drivers side).mike

point meaning on the head not the handle? I guess the spear on the chrome head point to the rear? Is that right MIke?

yes,spears point to rear of car in unlocked position. mike

PS: if you intend to PV the 57, suggest ya get the ncrs PV booklet and ask roy sinor for a copy of the pv sheets. something as simple as incorrect direction of the door lock knobs can fail the PV.mike
