Does this look like the correct routing for the defrost & air cable? It has been so long since I took it apart I'm having doubts. It is a pretty hard pull to get it to work (but it do does work) I have rebuilt heater box and cleaned the controls and lubed cables as well as it can be done. It was always a hard pull but thought I'd check as I want to get it back together this week and don't want to back track at this point.

That defrost cable routes forward across the top of the heater box, then goes down, between the box and the firewall, then comes back rearward under the heater box and connects to the lever on the rear face of the box. See your Assembly Manual, UPC 1, sheet E6, View "B", item #5.- Top

Re: 66 defrost & air cable
John,
Thanks, I just spent a half hour looking at it and came to the same conclusion. I went outside (rear ward)of the heater box, I thought it was the most direct route. It fits and operates much better the correct way. I am using and AIM on disk and printed E-5 (Page-78) and it just didn't show the cable that clearly, if I had gone one more page...
John -Thanks again,
Pete- Top
