    56/57 speaker/amp

    Hello everyone, been gone awhile because the old 62 just sits in the garage as the young ones keep me busy. However the 9 year old wants to help me get it running.

    My question is a speaker/amp assembly was in the trunk of my vette. How do I identify if it is out of a vette? Guess I am interested in getting rid of it since it does not fit my car.

      You'll have to look it over for PN and/or Delco model designation. Might have to partially disassemble to see if label(s) remain on the inside...

      Also, if there are no identifying marks left, you can post pictures and others can help. There WAS a difference between the '56-57 passenger car and Corvette version of the early Wonderbar speaker/amp assy.

      More than one Corvette restorer has gotten his hands on the passenger car part only to find later it wasn't a correct match for his Corvette. But, that doesn't render the part 'worthless'...
