I'm replacing the rubber/jute firewall insulation to kick off the re-assembly of the interior. Paragon sells it for $390 and Zip has it for $189. Does anyone have any experience with either of these parts? Is the Paragon part worth an extra $200?

Re: Firewall Insulation
I recently used Paragons'. No major problems other than when reinstalling the throttle pedal assembly. We had to shave off some of the rubber and insulation to get the bracket bolts into the firewall. It wasn't the easiest task doing this under the dash.
I don't know how this product compares to other manufacturers. I also thought it was a bit pricey.- Top

Re: Firewall Insulation
Tom,
That is what I paid nearly 2 years ago - I purchased from Paragon.
Just as an FYI -- Doc used to have a guy that would make/supply the firewall pads AS ORIGINAL. His back log was about a 6-9 month wait.
It is DEAD on perfect.
I don't know if he is still making them to order and if Doc can still get the pads that way any longer. May be worth a call to him.
But -- I am very satisfied with the Paragon unit. Only issue I had was fitting the gas pedal as stated above. Just took a little fitting etc...- Top
