Well............... I guess my friend must have been a member. His old number must be long lost, but still no record of him in the rosters. Oh well. He's back now !!! Thanks for all of the input guys. Interesting conversation.

Dick, I joined in 1986 and have always had the number listed? Did they start the new system in 1986?

What would it take to get on a consistent footing for memberhip pins and window decals that indicate length of membership? Both of these items seem to have been in play at one time, what happened?
            Best regards,

Charlie, I believe you can still get some window stickers with your enlistment year. I have just recently gotten a few stating "Member since 1981". I agree milestone pins are a great idea who do we contact to see if we can get them reinstated?.

I started a post some time ago about getting pins/ certificates or whatever but I guess that the younger members don't care or the Powers that be don't want to fool with it. i would gladly pay to get some form of milestone.

Don't know how old you are. Ido know Roy is younger than I am and when I go to a funeral home they ask me my age & if it's worth me going home.LOL

Actually, I bet new members would be more encouraged to stick with us with some sort of milestone recognitionr for 1 year and 5 years. Us old guys aren't going anywhere !!

I'm new to the club, with a sky high number, but I am not a young guy. I appreciate longevity in an organization and seniority in general. I think for what little it is worth that acknowledgement of time in the club is a good thing. Where I worked for 36 years we had multiple ways of recognizing time in the organization, and seniority was recognized and appreciated by the newcomers to the organization. If this club had stickers that said NCRS 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, 25 years, etc, etc, I know that people would buy them, and put them on their cars. Likewise, if there were longevity pins, many would buy those too and put them on their hat or vest, etc. NCRS decision makers, are you listening?

So we are both 66. That makes Bratz 70. My undertaker gave me a card to send him. Roy is not as neer old as we are although he looks much older than me. Hell his Dad looked way younger thar he dose. That is what taking the job he has with NCRS dose to a person. Terry has also gone the way that the rest of us have. I only look old when I look in the mirror in the morning & wonder who that old man is staring at me.
