US Royal 'Safety 800'
Apparently the judging guide does not mention 'Safety 800' as a type of US Royal tire suitable for 61 corvettes. When I bought these tires years ago, I was assured they are correct and from the original molds used to produce these tires. Last time judged, I lost big points because although they were US Royal, 'Safety 800 was not recognised. I have seen posts in the archives that state that these tires were used- Safety8 for 61 and Safety800 for 62- mine is a late 61 and maybe could have had Safety 800's. I'm going to a judging meet in a couple days and would appreciate hearing from judges or knowledgable members regarding these tires. Thank's in advance.
