    Windshield Washer Components

The JG sates the valve is a cylindrical-shaped canister but that in March 1969 a different shaped canister resembling two pie plates was used. My car is an Oct 69 build with the cylindrical-shaped canister.

Reading Rick Bizzoco's Stingray Guidebook, he states the cylindrical-shaped canister was seen on VIN729658 and the double pie pan on 733001. My car is 731984.

Is it possible my car is correct with the canister type?

    Kelly,

I noticed you have not gotten a response to your question so at the worse, if I don't give an answer you need, you are at least back up to the top of the list.

Not sure what you are speaking of when you say cylindrical-shaped canister (coffee can)but assume you are talking about the wiper door actuator that opens and shuts the wiper door by vacuum. The change over to the double pie pan shape based on the TJM says the change over happened in March '69 as you have stated.

I guess it is remotely possible for you to have the coffee can shape actuator but I think you need to ask original owners of '69's to comment on their build date and what type actuator they have. You might want to start a different thread as your title to this thread is somewhat misleading.

    Good luck

Thanks Terry. I'll try again with a better title to the post. I used that heading to try and mirror where I was reading about the canister in the JG.

I think that we pretty well know that the coffee can was used well past what the judging guide says, but we do not have a definite cut off date yet.
