Looking for an NOS 69 TI coil for judging and driving

Have checked eBay, no luck. TI Specialty; I'm not sure if the one they offer will fill the entire bill (part number, embossing etc.) Any ideas?
Thanks and God bless you all, Happy Easter!!

Thanks for the Ebay listing. Does anyone disassemble and restore these or is this a ridiculous question?

To my knowledge, no one. There are resleeved used coils out there. They should only be used with USED wire and USED spark plugs, in my opinion. The OEM coils were vacuum filled and no "restorer" has that capability.

If you look for an NOS GM #1115263 coil you'll look forever and you'll NEVER find one. GM #1115263 was a PRODUCTION-only part number which was an ASSEMBLY that included the coil and coil bracket. For some inexplicable reason, the last three digits of the ASSEMBLY part number were embossed on the coil. The ASSEMBLY was never a SERVICE-available part, so there was no way to obtain a GM #1115263 except if you got it on a car. Since any of those supplied on a car would be now considered USED, the term "NOS" and "263" ignition coil are "mutually exclusive" terms.

In SERVICE the same coil as supplied with the GM #1115263 ASSEMBLY was known as GM #1115207. Of course, it had "207" embossed on it. The GM #1115207 was also used in PRODUCTION for those TI applications which did not use a coil supplied as an assembly with the bracket.

In general, if the coil is 'good', it doesn't need 'restoration'...

You simply spritz the case with paint remover, strip down to the bare metal, and apply a fresh coat of gloss black. Then, for those TI coils that had a metal foil label in addition to their case emboss, get a reproduction label and affix it.

Paragon has several reproductions with the correct embossing. Note that they offer both an Import and an American Made product. My personal experience with the Import was not good. I had changed out my perfectly fine 207 coil for the correct 263 and the car barely ran, spitting and backfiring. I thought it might be elseware in the system so I checked everything including swapping to a solid state module (I have lots of working non-NCRS compliant parts around). I put the old 207 back in and it ws fine. I sent the Import back to Paragon and purchased the American Made one, put it in and it worked fine.

As for judging, my embossing was near the bottom and in order to get it to show through the mounting bracket I would have had to position one of the primary terminals too close to the BB ignition shielding. Judges looked for the numbers but didn't deduct for them not being visible.
