Hi Guys,

Where can I purchase thick carb gaskets for a 67 435? The gaskets I recently purchased from LICS are almost paper thin. Any help is appreciated.

Dave -- are you talking carb-to-intake gaskets ? If so, they are supposed to be thin, at least from the time Chevy figured out that the thick(er) gaskets were causing warpage due to unequal baseplate-to-manifold bolt torque being applied. There's a service notice somewhere that would nail down the timeframe.

Thanks Wayne. Yes I am talking about the carb to intake gaskets. I really would prefer thicker ones than the thin ones.

holley sells one .060 thick but they don't look like the GM one. holley part #108-9

I would also checkout/contact DR REBUILD. He is noted for excellent gaskets and rubber products (hoses, etc). That is where I buy all of mine.
