I have a 73 corvette with electric windows which are stuck in the down position. They both stopped working at the same time. All fuses are good. The car has 15,000 miles with all original parts. Can the problem be with the electric window relay or is there a fusable link some place?

I would first try to make them go up with the motor running above an idle. A low battery could be the problem. Test with a good ground from the battery to the door motor. Then test the hot leads or the motor.

John, there may be a problem with the wiring as it comes through the door into the piller, sometimes from the constant opening and closing of the door the wires tend to break inside the protective sheathing, the coating on the harness tend to get brittle and then its just a matter of time before the copper wires break from the constant opening and closing.
