C2 carb to manifold spacer/heat shield

Does anyone know of a carb to manifold spacer, GM for some other Corvette or other GM application but will work or after market, with or without a heat shield that has a center divider , separate primary and secondary holes on one side and single oval hole on other side to match '67 L79(or other similar design) stock manifold. All the ones I know about have a single square hole. Does having just the single square hole in spacer effectively making an open plenum chamber hurt performance?I want a spacer to cut down on carb heat.I know, I know, it "won't judge."

Some have blocked off the entry and exit holes of the exhaust crossover to reduce heat. Some recent posts about doing this are in the archives.

Bill, Have you blocked the crossover like Jim suggested? Run your initial timing at approx 10* BTDC and see if that helps some.

In a worst case there is a heat shield used on Holley LT1's that may fit but I am not sure of the throttle blade diameter. I bet you can get one from Holley for the 4160.

I have found that blocking the hot slot and after a drive, I can hold my hand on the float bowl and the fuel is just warm. These Holleys have a primary and secondary idle circuit so fuel is always circulating through them..
