Is there a template for locating the emblem in the corner of a 66 hood?

The access holes in the bottom side of the hood's reinforcement surround for attachment of the speed nuts, dictate where the holes have to go, eh?

Thanks for the info. The hood I have is from a 65 - can you tell me the size/arrangement of the the holes on the underside?

Your are in luck, I just happen to have a 66 hood sitting around.

Email me your mailing adress and I will make you a TEMPLATE of the bottom holes. ( Tape it on, hit it with some spray paint , and you have your hole sizes and locations !)

Shipping and handling charges will be extreme !

Carl,

Here is are a few pictures of what I did . If you line up the top and the side to even with their edges ,and mist with paint you should be close enough for most judge's scrutiny.

I post these here so you have a reference as to how to reapply, as well as for anyone else to chime in with suggestions or a better way.

I'm a little fish in this big pond full of smart guys too. It's always great to see the effort that goes into helping others on this board. I can't think of a better way to mark the holes than you did.
