    63 original paint

I'm just curious about something, so maybe you guys can enlighten me:

If I were to take apart an untouched 63 convertible, (if there is such a thing) where would I find natural fiberglass and where (other than the outside) would I find the original paint? Did it vary car-to-car? Thanks,

The jack storage compartment in my Daytona blue car was blue. I don't know if it was the same paint as the exterior blue. The floor had overspray. The dash support and trim tag had overspray on them.

Was the majority of the floor surface bare glass?

        Thanks,

Yes, the only paint on the floor is overspray and the jack storage area is painted interior color.

On my early (Dec 62) black/red convt, there was considerable red paint sprayed under the seat area - most likely to cover the toolbox area under the seats. Also, there was a good coat of dark gray primer underneath the red paint that I had to sand off.

Found the words "black" in green crayon on the luggage stop behind passenger seat. Also, the word or name "Hall" in green crayon on the floorboard ahead of passenger seat.
