1974 Exhaust Manifold Gasket/Donut

I was having my daily driver (2007 Impala) in for a spring service today at the local GM dealer and dropped by the Parts Department to see if they could get me an exhaust manifold gasket/donut for my 1974 L-48. Nope not on computer. Checked the old manual/book records. Yes, we can get one from the USA into Canada for about $18.00?? I said no. C'mon, this is a $5.00 unit.

Is this a NAPA item?

Paul, Those dount gaskets are a dime a dozen at any auto parts store. napa does carry them, do you have Napa in Canada?

The GM part number is 6271611 and they GM list for about $3.50/each. NAPA carries this gasket in Fel-Pro and it's Fel-Pro #8194 and lists for about 2 bucks.

Want a better seal? Use the sintered iron donut seals. GM #3731062; about 5 bucks/each GM list. NAPA # EXH 31416; about 6-1/2 bucks each.

I use the sintered iron ones that Joe mentions.
