Ed, This is on old unit and the foil label on the steel motor cover is not legible. The only numbers I can retrieve are on the cast aluminum chassis (transmission). These are formed into it in an area that would be impossible to see when mounted (faces the firewall). It doesn't seem to be for 68-72. Thanks, Mike

Mike, the foil labels are reproduced , I don't know what the other number is but I am sure is a part no. maybe for the housing.

The foil label has two different numbers depending on if your washer pump is a 5 port or a 3 port, 5044758- three port, 5044780- 5 port.

I think the number you've provided is a casting number. I don't think it's a part number for a motor assembly. I can't ID it but I suspect it would be a number used for more than one finished assembly. So, even if I could ID it, it wouldn't tell just what it is.

Thanks Guys. I was able to remove enough of the firewall blackout from the label to get the 3 port designation 5044758. Beneath that number (lower right of label) is 0 1 8. The ports are straight-in line with the pump movement. The ground connection is a brass strap that is under one of the pump trans cover screws and runs doun to incorporate into one of the main mounting grommets instead of the blade connection used on my 71.
Is there any other marking on this that would identify its origin? Mike
