    Shielding question 65 !

I have a question about the shielding on my 65 with factory A/C? Is there supposed to be shielding on the front right hand side behind the A/C compressor? I do not have it on mine so this is why I question it.I have ordered my 65 tech manual and not recieved it yet. When I recieve that I will be able to answer alot of my own question. Thanks in advance. Tom Stanton #41491

Tom -- if you mean UNDER the right rear of the compressor, the answer is yes; and believe me, it's a PITA when installed, to access the two front spark plugs (#2 and 4) which is why many C60 owners removed this spark plug radio shield.

Thank you for your help. Mine is gone and I can understand why it was never put back on. I will get one to replace it though. If its supposed to be there I want it on. Tom

Perhaps Tom also has the "proof positive" of an original A/C car - the two 1" holes in the right inner to allow the insertion of the socket and its extension(s).

For some (thankfully) strange reason, the UAW Kansas farmboys decided to take a break when # 5101487 went by their station .
