I've received the new Restorer and Driveline #192 and read the "Clarification" on page 3 of the Driveline: "Starting with this issue, no VIN included in your ad means that the ad will not appear.".
First, that's simply not correct. You can sell any number of things in the Driveline WITHOUT including the VIN, tires, hubcaps, etc.
Second. it's not EXACTLY "Starting with this issue"; on page 3 of Driveline #1, dated May-June 1978, we find: "Ads for cars, frames or bodies for sale must indicate the Vehicle Identification Number...".
Third, I use the Driveline as a source of information for my small data base on pre-1973 cars. In view of the "clarification", would someone else "clarify" the ad at the bottom of the middle column on page 68 and the two ads in the middle of the first column on page 84.
