68 Windshield Wiper Inserts

Gentlemen,
Does anyone have recommendations where I can get the CORRECT rubber blade inserts for my 68 wipers?
Car is correct so I don't want to "Bubba" it and I need them for my upcoming annual state motor vehicle safety inspection.

Kurt I think that refills can still be brought at the local napa parts store, they may not have the factory blk. finish on the metal part of blades, but a little flat black paint can be used, just tape off the rubber edges.

Thanks for the NAPA tip.
Will they pass NCRS scrutiny for originality and correctness in your opinion?
I have the satin gray blade holders so would just need to get the rubber inserts

Kurt,I don't think you will find a set of nos blades for a 68 trico blades are very very hard to come buy. and as far as passing judging incorrect wiper blades would only be about 1-2 pt deduct. as the blade its self and holder are 3 pts total.for know you can replace the blades and paint the stainless part of them a flat black and they will at least look correct.

The trico inserts have a pat. no and the trico name on the insert, you will need a good magnifing glass and good eyes to see the writing.

Even if you found and purchaced a nos set of these, you surely would not want to use on a daliy basis they would not be cheap.

Kurt, I use common auto parts store inserts for daily use for my 70 and they work fine.

They are not correct for judging, but I was also able to buy the correct ones on Ebay. All I had to do was paint the metal spine black, and I lost no points with these up to the National level. But they are not cheap.

I assume you can find daily and correct inserts for your 68 this way as well, but I really don't know what differences there may be for 68.
